Design Review Overview • Design Review is a major project milestone held on 3,4 Oct • Purpose: To inform instructors of your design • Instructors should understand your strategies and implementation • Important/critical details should be explained • Identify risk areas • Audience: Instructors, considered knowledgeable in the problem but not your implementation • Expect questions and critiques • Your secrets are safe with us • PowerPoint presentation expected to give clear view of your strategy, design and its operation Page 4

Individual Assignment • CPR Assignment – Preparing PowerPoint presentations • This presentation technique is very important to master for your time here at Rose and for your career • I expect to see the ideas presented in the CPR assignment used in your presentations where appropriate • Comments: • Participation and results from first CPR assignment • Don’t wait… • You must view results of assignment! Your Assignment • Create a set of PowerPoint slide titles for your team’s Design Review • This is an individual assignment • Blend these to prepare for team’s design review coming up on 10,11 Oct • Focus on the purpose for the slide and the message to be delivered, not the name of the slide • I.e. not “Conclusion”, but rather “Preliminary design of Lego torpedo is proceeding on schedule” • See provided resources, and use them!
