  2. Who are the people who set foot on the moon? • On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to step onto the surface of the Moon •  He was followed by Edwin  Aldrin, both of the Apollo 11 mission

  3. The origins of the moon • There are only 3 origins of the moon • these origins were made after the last apollo mission in 1972

  4. Theory 1 - Fission:A chunk of the Earth spins off • The first moon-origin theory to gain a solid foothold was put forth in 1878.  •  George Howard Darwin is the sun of the famous evolustionist

  5. Theory 2 - Capture:The Earth captures a wandering body • The Darwin-Fisher model eventually met with competition from two other theories. • Jefferson jackson proposed that the moon is snared by earths gravity

  6. Theory 3 - Coaccretion:Side by side formation • In these origin, its says that the moon and the earth are in a side by side formation • After the apollo program , many lunar scientist elucidated the aspects of the moons history
