  1. What is Photojournalism? • It’s about telling a story • The photos give instant insight • Photographs are compelling and “hook” audience into wanting to know more. • Be curious so that your photographs may inspire that curiosity. • Photographers often go where other people don’t want to go

  2. Before, During & After Coverage Young photojournalists typically understand to get ‘during’coverage. They must ALSO cover bus rides home, decorating committee meetings or striking the set, etc. Plan coverage to hit an event from beginning to end.
