Julia Leigh Sitton - Dedicated Teacher

Before she made the decision to become an English language teacher, Julia Leigh Sitton worked closely with the Town Council of Fontana Dam to help in the development of a new water treatment facility. She coordinated with the project engineer, grant administrator and the various granting agencies involved in the project to ensure it was seen through to fruition.

  1. Julia Leigh Sitton Dedicated Teacher Having spent the majority of her career in the legal profession, Julia Leigh Sitton decided to take on a new challenge in August 2015. She studied for her Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) at the corporate headquarters of Teaching House, Inc., before accepting a role with ILA Vietnam, which is the preeminent English academy in Vietnam. She now uses her skills to teach the basics of English to young children, some of whom are as young as three years old.Julia Leigh Sitton must be an organized person who is capable of planning effective lessons that deliver the outcomes that she and ILA Vietnam are looking for.

  2. Julia Leigh Sitton Avid Hiker Before moving to Vietnam, Julia Leigh Sitton lived in Asheville, North Carolina, which gave her access to a number of mountain trails. She is a keen hiker who was an active member of three hiking clubs in the area. She also shares this hobby with her daughter Allison, with whom she recently hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. She is currently planning a trip to Indonesia so that she can hike the Kawah Ijen volcano trail. Hiking is a challenging activity, but it is capable of offering immense rewards, both in terms of the things seen and your physical health, to the people who dedicate themselves to it.

  3. Julia Leigh Sitton Former Trustee Julia Leigh Sitton is an American who is currently living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where she is a teacher of English to Vietnamese students. She is a former trustee of Western Piedmont Community College in North Carolina, and served on a task force established in the aftermath of the campus shootings at Virginia Tech in 2007, which at the time was the single deadliest mass shooting in United States history. She has also been an attorney in private practice.Teachers need to be capable of communicating in a variety of ways to ensure that their students get the most out of their lessons. They must able to simplify complex topics while ensuring that their lessons are delivered concisely, offering everything that their students need in the process.

  4. Julia Leigh Sitton A Stellar Education After graduating from Freedom High School in 1980 as the Valedictorian of her class, Julia Leigh Sitton continued her studies at Davidson College. While there, she became a Senator in the Student Government Association and eventually graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a 3.7 Grade Point Average. She then enrolled at the University of North Carolina School of Law, graduating Phi Delta Phi with her Juris Doctorate in 1987. More recently, she has earned her Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults from Teaching House, Inc.Campuses should incorporate victim counseling services in their emergency plans and establish a system of regular briefings for victims’ families
