Recommendations: • Regarding student textbooks • The group supports use of e-content such as (but not limited to) FlatworldKnowledge • The group encourages use of open educational resources (OER) • The group is monitoring projects such as the Cornell and U. of Buffalo initiatives which are piloting alternative ways to provision course content to student more economically. Other: • The group supports the SUNY Learning Commons as a way to build communities of practice related to e-publications. • The group supports continuing dialogue about open access.
