  3. Vilnius J. Tallat-KelpSosConservatoire Vilnius Music School was founded on November 9, 1940. Today Vilnius J. Tallat-Kelpšos Conservatoire is a Secondary Music School which provides general secondary and musical education, offering suitable conditions for pupils to develop their creative abilities. General programs correspond to the basic and secondary education standards and musical programs are prepared in close cooperation with the specialists of Music and Theatre Academy. The pupils who successfully pass the school-leaving  and musical training exams are awarded a secondary school-leaving (maturity) certificate and can continue their studies in other musicalestablishments.The Conservatoire provides training in piano, string instruments, theory of music  composition, choir conducting- organ, vocal, pop music, wind instruments. A newly created course of ethnomusicology  will be introduced in the nearest future.
