Draft update and next steps • TGad draft D1.2 released on March 01, 2011 • D1.2 = D1.1 + speculative implementation of all technical and editorial comments resolved since the January/11 mtg • All comments as part of LB168 have now been resolved and implemented into D1.2 • D1.2 has gone has gone through an editorial review by TGad’s editorial panel before its release • Goals for this mtg with respect to the draft • Approve creation of D2.0 on the basis of D1.2 • Start a recirculation LB on D2.0 Carlos Cordeiro, Intel Corporation

TGad draft specification update • Draft 1.0 was released on September 24, 2010 • Implements the approved comments indicated in the D0.1 comment database (10/717r15) • Following the release of D1.0, a 30-day WG letter ballot (LB168) was initiated on D1.0 • LB168 closed on October 24, 2010 Carlos Cordeiro, Intel Corporation

Editorial panel • Email sent to TGad reflector on September 03, 2010, soliciting volunteers for an editorial panel responsible to: • Review drafts for: • Mistakes made by the editor when implementing contributions; and • Editorials • Report those to editor, so that they can be fixed before the TG approves a new draft • Typically, there will be an editorial review for a few days before a new draft is intended to be posted • Volunteers so far: B. Comment submission • Following the release of D0.1, a 3 week commenting period was opened on D0.1 • A total of 513 comments were received – comment database is document 802.11-10/717 • Comments were reviewed during the July 1st conference call and classified into (sub)groups: • 236 editorial comments (ER) = handled directly by the Editor • 277 technical comments (TR) = resolutions to be proposed by volunteers • 2 in the General comment group • 24 in the Beamforming comment group • 207 in the MAC comment group • 41 in the PHY comment group • 3 in the Coexistence comment group Carlos Cordeiro, Intel Corporation

  18. Comment resolution • Comment resolution will take place starting at the July/10 session • Via submissions • Via proposed resolutions suggested by assignees • Via comment review sessions led by the Editor • As per the TGad timeline, goal is to complete comment resolution at the September/10 session and enter WG letter ballot • Any motions to approve comment resolutions should be done by September/10 Carlos Cordeiro, Intel Corporation
