  12. North South Developments NYCI working with New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) to develop an Impact Measurement Framework for NYCI as a representative body. (Youthnet shadowing NYCI in this process)

Impact Measurement Framework based on the Theory of Change It can sound complex and academic, but the most simple explanation is that a Theory of Change describes the relationship between the activities that are being undertaken, and the impacts that are generated by those activities. It can be described using a detailed map, visualisation, or flow-chart diagram, or a narrative story of how change is created

Next Steps • NYCI and Youthnet to review Impact Measurement Framework • Agree measurement tools- some existing/some new • Implement the framework • To work in partnership with the sector to develop an Impact Measurement Framework for youth organisations complementing other work in this area ????????

The Future? • Establish a North South Impact Measurement Project • Establish a North South Impact Measurement Working Group to include reps from voluntary/statutory /academic sectors N and S • Work with experts in this field • Consultation and research on what youth sector is currently doing to measure impact

  20. Develop theory of change for sample of youth organisations • Develop measurement framework • Pilot the framework • Implement the framework
