AquaSoil

AquaSoil is a revolutionary soil product that combines clean compost, natural organic matter, water storage systems, nutrients, and micro-organisms. It is produced by GABCO in Europe and offers a sound environment for plant growth with reduced water consumption.

  1. AquaSoil the new dimension in cultivating sandy grounds and deserts

  2. Who is producing AquaSoil ? • AquaSoil was defined by MS Licence BV • AquaSoil is produced in Europe • The company in charge is GABCO, a huge soil producer in Aachen ( Germany ) near the Dutch border in co-operation with BASF • The supervision is done by European authorities and institutes

  3. What is AquaSoil? a combination of excellent features like: • clean compost with natural organic matter • humic acid as long lasting organic base • polyelectrolyte polymer as 1st water storage • peat derivatives as 2nd water storage • sufficient nutrients (N-P-K) • high cation exchange capacity

  4. What contains AquaSoil ? • sufficient organic matter for many years as complex organic • a rich fertiliser combination • a double water storage • all necessary minerals • full range of micro-organism‘s • but no parasitic nematodes

  5. How works the water storage ? To explain the water storage capacity of AquaSoil, that is shown in a small picture show as comparision to a normal soil on the next pages:

  6. 1. Rain or irrigation on normal soil

  7. 2. The water flows into the soil

  8. 3. The water disappears evaporation > draining off >

  9. 4. After a short while the plant stands dry

  10. 5. AquaSoil with water storage

  11. 6. The water is assimilated by AquaSoil

  12. 7. The water is stored for a long while very low waterevaporation no waterflow >>

  13. 8. The plant has still sufficient water and grows

  14. 9. AquaSoil generates fresh water out of the humidity !

  15. Water storage in two steps • the water flows into AquaSoil and • is absorbed within minutes in the 1st storage system up to 1cbm per cbm AquaSoil and • transferred into the 2nd storage system within some hours. That results into • a total water storage capacity of more than 1cbm per cbm AquaSoil

  16. AquaSoil for a sound environment

  17. AquaSoil as lung of the ground

  18. AquaSoil is swelling and the air is pushed out

  19. AquaSoil is shrinking and the air is flowing in

  20. AquaSoil has caused a total exchange of the air = highest possible oxygen content !

  21. The chemical drainage

  22. AquaSoil becomes partly wet

  23. The humidity is guided within the soil

  24. The humidity is all over the same !

  25. The use of AquaSoil, step 1 Before the employment of AquaSoil, the ground has to be prepared accordingly. When defined is what kind of plants should grow in the selected area, the excavation must be done as follows: 1. Grass / ground cover 30cm 2. Vegetables 50cm 3. Bushes or shrubs 50cm 4. Trees 120cm 5. Palms 150cm

  26. Step 2 After this work, the ground should be covered with a layer of stones of about 5cm depth. The used stones should have sizes between 1cm and 5cm. With these stones the ground should be covered to avoid a mix-up with the sandy ground or a suitable geo-textile can be used. Condense the ground as above.

  27. Step 3 The soil should be prepared as a 25:75 mixture of AquaSoil and coarse sand The ground should filled up with this mixture up to the old level Now the ground is prepared for planting the selected plants.

  28. Planting

  29. Conclusions: • AquaSoil is ideal for the cultivation of land • AquaSoil is saving water and reducing the expenditures for irrigation of at least 50% ! • AquaSoil offers and ensures the best environment for plants as lung of the ground with the highest possible oxygen content for the best nitrogen processing in the soil • AquaSoil ensures a equal distribution of the water • AquaSoil means healthy, fast growth and no loss of plants
