  1. The Potters’ Dream Vacation By Vivian H and Neha Y

  2. Introduction We created a dream vacation for the Potters family of 4. They visited one city in every time zone, traveled to 9 states. They drove 6,239 miles. Most of all they had an amazing time! • They started in New Jersey • Washington, DC • Chicago, Illinois • Minneapolis, Minnesota • Yellow Stone, Wyoming • San Francisco, CA • Phoenix, Arizona • Dallas, Texas • Philadelphia, Pa • Back to New Jersey

  3. Food Budget • The Potters wanted to eat at some expensive, average, and cheap restaurants. The grand total was $854.55 for food. • They had $1,145.45 left for activities.

  4. Activities While Going • In Washington, DC, they went to the Holocaust Museum and spent $42. • In Chicago, Illinois they went to the movies. They spent another $42 on that. • In Minneapolis, the family went shopping at the Minneapolis Mall and spent $67.96. • In Wyoming, they went to Yellowstone. That cost $100. • The last city they visited while going across the U.S. was San Francisco, California. They went to an amusement park and spent $121.

  5. Activities Coming Back • When they started coming back, they visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona. That cost $25. • In Texas, they went to an aquarium. They spent $59.08 for admission and $2 at the gift shop. • In Pennsylvania, they saw the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. It was FREE! • Finally, when they came back to New Jersey, they went to the Franklin Mineral Museum. They spent another $42.

  6. summary In the end, the Potters truly had a wonderful time; even if they had to visit less than 10 states. They had a great time during their family vacation across the country, because first of all, they did visit one city in each time zone, travel to 9 states total, traveled more than 6000 miles and less than 8000 miles. They stayed within a budget of $200.00 a day and ate at different kinds of restaurants every day. But most of all, just being together was the best part!
