An innovative entrepreneur in the field of education and trained communications specialist, Josh Chernikoff has a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University and a B.A. in print journalism from American University. After a two year stint as the sports anchor for the ABC affiliate in Harrisonburg, Josh worked with several teams including the Redskins, Ravens and DC United. Chernikoff started Ashley Tutors to combine his communications skills and desire to work with DC area children in unique areas such as kinesthetic learning and academic camps. He also works closely with local news organizations on the subjects of core academic skills and knowledge retention. Chernikoff and the Ashley Tutors team have been featured on NBC4 News multiple times and were most recently on WUSA9. Josh Chernikoff most recently founded Flex Academies, an innovative learning environment that mixes fitness and entertainment activities with learning. Chernikoff currently serves on the Board of Directors for SPARC, a metropolitan Washington non-profit supporting disabled adults.
