  4. Why Consider OC 21 Courses : • Courses not available at PVHS • Preparation for college • Field experience • Interaction with students from other school districts • Earn .5 elective credit

  5. Who is a Good Candidate for OC 21? Any highly motivated student An independent worker Someone who can manage their time well (and has the time outside of the school hours to devote to the course) Someone who is looking for a unique opportunity

  7. Process If you are interested, you need to write a one page double space essay on “Why you would like to take an OC 21 course”. Essay must be turned in to the guidance office by Friday, January 10th at 2:00. If there are more than five students that are interested, only five will be chosen from a lottery system.

  8. Program Requirements • Class begins on February 5, 2014 • Mandatory orientation at the BOCES campus from 8-12 • Symposium at the end of May • Routine online participation
