This report summarizes the progress of the State Estimator Redaction Task Force as it prepares comments for NPRR 327. The group met twice since the last WMS meeting to finalize its comments and develop a methodology for redacting confidential data from generation resources and load stations. The proposed protocol aligns with PUCT rules, allowing access to real-time data while ensuring confidentiality. Key decisions include posting a redacted version of State Estimator data at intervals, and the withdrawal of NPRR 373 in favor of the comments submitted for NPRR 327.

State Estimator Redaction Task Force Progress Report to WMS/ROS 6/15/2011
Draft Comments on NPRR 327 • Group met twice since the last WMS to finalize the comments for NPRR 327 and the methodology • NDSWG has been involved in developing comments • Developed methodology to redact confidential information for generation resources and load stations. • Protocol is consistent with language in PUCT Rule in which “resource-specific output levels or offer curves could not continually and systematically be derived.” • Protocol allows TSPs and DSP access all State Estimator date real-time (not redacted version)
WMS Decision in June • Endorse submitting the comments for NPRR 327 with following decision points: • ERCOT shall post redacted version of State Estimator data every 5 minutes, 12 hours, 24 hours OR 48 hours • If ERCOT validates a request to remove a data element, ERCOT will have X hours to remove the element or turn off the report • Withdraw NPRR 373, because better addressed in our comments in NPRR 327
