  6. PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR Pharmaceutical facilities have to meet strict requirements, regarding maintenance of cladding panels and doors in a clean-room environment. However, even the best maintained site can suffer cladding panel damage, caused by personnel working in a specific area or the constant moving and relocation of plant and machinery. With the current unstable world economy Pharmaceutical facilities are constantly monitoring and reviewing their maintenance budgets with a view to meeting strict auditing requirements and guidelines from their customers. The magnitude of the impact of micro-organisms is recently recognised by the World Health & Safety Organization. The awareness of the health risks of bacteria such as E.Coli, Salmonella etc. is high and IPRS's contribution & dedication by providing coating repair solutions to minimise such risks is strongly connected to our attention for health improvement and welfare.

  7. PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR Clean-rooms consist of specialised materials, chemicals, equipment and protocols unique to each facility. As the front-line defence in protecting the customer’s investment, this requires: • All IPRS staff to be fully trained in the entry and exit procedures in a live environment. • All equipment used by IPRS personnel to be application-specific. • A well-designed cleaning methodology, a verification programme and a commitment to ensure that clean-room maintenance demands are met. • The exclusion of any material, substance, particle, chemical or other undesirable substance that can taint, pollute, defile, make impure or unclean, or adversely affect the process or product. • The highest priority from IPRS staff when working in a live clean-room environment. • Contamination can take many forms. For this reason, IPRS has a full-time research department working in conjunction with its suppliers to minimise the chances of contamination from its products being introduced into the clean-room environment.

  8. PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR IPRS designs, procures, supplies and installs special coating programmes specifically tailored to individual clients requirements in controlled environments taking into account the following criteria:  • Provision of VOC compliance and legislation. • Prevention of odour while working under live production conditions through choice of water-based products and procedures i.e. working behind tented screens using roll / spray application techniques to achieve high standard of finish required. • Provision of an easy-clean surface with high scratch resistance and covers defects. • Provision of good wash resistance with a long life expectancy and a product that can be cleaned with high pressure. • Provision of chemical resistance against cleaners, disinfectants or sterilising agents based on the client's cleaning methodology. • Provision of an elastic product for good impact resistance. • Provision of certification and approved products. • Provision of products to prevent growth of fungi and bacteria. • Extensive Research and development of new spraying techniques, applications (over 13 various methods) and equipment. • Extensive Research and development on new containment booths and protection systems. • Extensive Research and development on new filtration systems. 16. INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL Cladding Repainting The performance of cladding coating systems are generally defined by the Minimum Period to Re-Paint Decision. This is the length of time before a building owner needs to consider will the cladding require re-painting. Cladding coating systems are manufacturerd with extremely high performance expectations. All products used for exterior applications are designed to withstand the environment but can degrade over time by means of the following main factors: • Sunlight • Chemicals & pollutants • Water, oxygen and salts. • Wind-blown sand and salts

  17. INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL They can deteriorate and become defective as a result of additional external forces such as: • Age of coating system. • Coating damage during installation • Coastal Locations. • Urban Locations. • Industrial Pollution. • Environmental Pollution. • Climatic Changes. • Maintenance over the lifetime of the system. When the barrier properties of such coatings breakdown it can lead to corrosion of the under lying substrate. Unfortunately, corrosion rate data cannot be generalised due to the variations in atmospheric environments.

  18. Typical Coating adhesion failure on external cladding Typical Plastisol Coating adhesion failure Typical PVDF Coating adhesion failure

  19. INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL Over-paint solutions are available, designed and tailored by IPRS Limited to suit each client’s requirements for aged cladding systems. The correct choice of a coating system can restore their appearance and significantly extend the building life. IPRS Limited has gained vast experience over the past ten years in the refurbishment and restoration of buildings and improving their performance, specification and aesthetics. We can offer our Clients and building owners a stress free refurbishment solution in preventing considerable disruption to production and the workplace. The business operation can continue within the confines of the building during the over-coating operation. IPRS Limited develop a good understanding with all our clients of the potential problems but with detailed planning and choice of materials to suit each specific environment requirement all difficulties can be overcome. IPRS Limited will also evaluate and assess costs, durability of new coating system, guarantee and each building owners tailored needs.

  20. INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL The quality of an over-coating solution and its longevity is influenced by the way in which it is installed. IPRS Limited workmanship, quality and adherence to manufacturer’s guidelines is clearly defined by our approval of household names like such as Kingspan Ltd., Spanwall Ltd., Corus Ltd., Arcelor Mittal, Joriside etc. The main types of over-painting solutions are: • Painting over existing coated surfaces with minimal damage to the existing exterior surface, which may require a major upgrade or change of colour. • Painting over existing coated surfaces with degree of adhesion failure and evidence of corrosion, which may require a major upgrade, change of colour or extension on the lifetime for the cladding system. • Stripping & painting previously coated surfaces, which require a major upgrade to extend the lifetime of the cladding system. We offer stripping techniques such as paint remover, slurry blasting, sand blasting, hydro blasting etc. in considering our client’s requirements and environmental impact.

  30. INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL Giromax Technology is the Platinum Supply Chain Partner for all repaint projects with the Platinum Partnership System Warranty administered by Corus Refurbishment Solutions. Cut Edge Corrosion occurs at the cut edges and overlapped joints on roof cladding sheets. Where the cut edges of coated metal cladding are exposed to the elements for prolonged periods of time, de-lamination may occur in the form of peel back of the factory coating. The unprotected metal substrate then becomes exposed to rusting and corrosion. If the Cut Edge Corrosion is not addressed quickly it will damage the metal sheeting and adversely affect the roof. Cut Edge Corrosion is a progressive problem and if neglected it can develop away from the cut edge, and destroy the weather seal at joint overlaps and the gutter overhang at eaves. The general condition of the roof will deteriorate rapidly and this will have a negative impact on the building value, ongoing maintenance and possible roof replacement costs.

  41. INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL Curtain Walling (Windows / doors) refurbishment I.P.R.S. Limited carry out repairs and apply individual / site specific coating systems required in-situ on site or at our spray facility off site to damaged Curtain Walling. All curtain walling surfaces should be protected from abrasion, scuffing and other damage during transportation and installation. Many facade materials including curtain walling have to be finished or coated to protect them from the environment and give the required appearance. The quality of the finish may be the greatest factor affecting the useful life of the wall and when damaged is likely to be a contentious issue if the appearance is not acceptable to the client. • When scratched or damaged the metal may rot, corrode and suffer other forms of degradation in the presence of moisture, U.V., salt laden air and air borne pollutants.  • Mortar drops and similar alkaline materials can be particularly damaging to coatings and paint finishes during the construction of any project. • Repairs to curtain walling coated surfaces can be carried out to the highest of standards by our experienced trained specialist staff and prevent a replacement process, which can delay programmes and incur un-necessary costs.  The service provided to maintain all types of curtain walling coating systems including powder coating, using the latest in professional coating systems, enables I.P.R.S to guarantee 100% paint adhesion, colour matching and offer back to back guarantees with the Manufacturer.

It is our responsibility to control, ensure correct technical and aesthetic product application in accordance with the strict guidelines / training provided by POLYROOF” Overlay systems such as Polyroof offer an alternative to the complete replacement of existing flat roofs. The principal advantage of this is to minimise disruption and, in the majority of cases, keep the building fully operational during the refurbishment. An overlay system is usually considered when the existing roof covering is showing early signs of breakdown. This, for example, could be a felt roof where bubbles or blisters are starting to appear, or a single ply or gutter installation where seams or joints are beginning to fail.

  44. INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL Key Characteristics of Polyroof Liquid Applied Waterproofing Systems • Seamless Cold applied membrane - Eliminates fire hazards / inconvenience of using hot applied systems. • Complete composite roofing solution - For all types of Warm or Cold roof specifications such as Asbestos, Bitumen, Concrete, Felt, Trocal etc. • Applied to existing substrate - Roofs can be safely refurbished without risk or refurbishment or disruption. • Waterproof  - Prevents water from entering the structure • Joint Free - Encapsulates the roof with a complete seamless coating, which eliminates the risk of leakages. • High elasticity - Withstands regular foot traffic and roof movements without splitting or shearing. • High film strength - Impact resistant & vandal resistant with tough, durable long-lasting membranes. • UV Stable - Enables the systems to resist all types of weather conditions. 30 year durability rated by the BBAwith a10-25 year insurance backed guarantee
