  3. Proposal • Base VMR classes on HL7 R-MIMS • Mood codes determined at this level • Model maintained by appropriate TC • Larger (more complex) model • Longer object references • Not all R-MIMs included in VMR • Data retrieval and storage services closely related to those used for messaging

  4. Questions • What is the appropriate level for specifying the VMR? • R-MIM • HMD • Message Types • What is the formal VMR specification?

  5. Complexity • Is an un-simplified R-MIM too complex? • Is complexity bad? Who has to work with the complexity? • Can we write via the VMR with a model that is significantly less complex than what is specified in the R-MIM?
