  3. Virginia National Guard Association: • VNGA chartered in 1960 • Mission is to provide benefits and services to all members • Membership includes Active, Separated and Retired • Membership Profile = 1100+ people

Virginia Army & Air National Guard Enlisted Association: “Organized with a purpose to enhance the prestige, morale, and well-being of the enlisted and retired members of the Virginia Army and Air National Guard and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and find solutions to problems relating to the enlisted and retired members of the Virginia National Guard.”

SGLI Insurance $250,000 • For Guard Member – same rate regardless of age, type of duty, or tobacco use. • New Spouse & Dependent Coverage. • Terminates 120 days after separation or retirement. • SGLI conversion to VGLI is expensive. “National Guard members separate and retire without Life Insurance”
