  1. Or Who Made the Covenant with Abraham and The Hebrews at MT Sinai The Smoking Furnace and the Lamp

  2. Genesis 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: • Exodus 19:18 And mount Sinai was altogether smoking, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. • Rev_15:8 And the sanctuary was filled with the smoke of the glory of YAHWEH, and with His power. And no one was able to enter into the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven cherubs should be completed. In the verses above, the word Lord is number 3068 in the Strong’s Concordance Strong’s 3068 Yhovahyeh-ho-vaw’ from 'hayah' (1961); (the) self-Existent or Eternal; compare 'Yahh' (3050), 'Yhovih' (3069). In other words it is the creator himself, which makes sense, and it is what we were always taught in church. But is that all ?

  3. Genesis 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: In the verse above there is a “smoking furnace “and something else, a “burning lamp”. Who or what is the burning lamp? II Samuel 22:29 For you are my lamp, O LORD and the LORD will lighten my darkness. Psalms 119:105 Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 132:17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed. Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: Isaiah 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burns.

  4. So the lamp is the Lord, the Word, the Commandments, of the house of David, and Salvation, all according to Scripture. Can we narrow this down further. The Commandment is the Word of the creator so these two words seem to be synonymous with each other. Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: ( II Timothy 3:16) In this verse the word “commandment “ is Strong’s number 4687 Strong’s 4687 Mitsvahmits-vaw‘ from 'tsavah' (6680); a command, whether human or divine (collectively, the Law):--(which was) commanded(-ment), law, ordinance, precept. Genesis 26:4“And I shall increase your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I shall give all these lands to your seed. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and guarded My Charge: My commands, My laws, and My Torot. So we can see Abraham was familiar with the Lamp or Commandment and this is why he was given the covenant.

  5. Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: So the lamp is the Word and a Light, the Word is the Commandments which is a Lamp and a Light and a Way of living. Who is a Light, a Way, the Truth, and the Word. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 14:6 Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me. John 8:12 Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. So is it possible the Lamp is the Son of God ? Isaiah 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burns.

  6. In the verse from Isaiah 62:1 we see the Lamp is also Salvation. The word salvation in this verse is Strong’s number 3444 Strong’s 3444 yshuw`ah yesh-oo'-aw feminine passive participle of 'yasha`' (3467); something saved, i.e. (abstractly) deliverance; hence, aid, victory, prosperity:--deliverance, health, help(-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS for he shall save his people from their sins. In this verse the name Jesus is Strong’s number 2424 in Greek. Strong’s 2424 IhsouV Iesous ee-ay-sooce' of Hebrew origin (Yhowshuwa` 3091); Jesus (i.e. Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites:--Jesus. In Hebrew it is 3091 Strong’s 3091 Yhowshuwa` yeh-ho-shoo'-ah or Yhowshua {yeh-ho-shoo'-ah}; from 'Yhovah' (3068) and 'yasha`' (3467); Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (i.e. Joshua), the Jewish leader:--Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua. Compare 'Howshea`' (1954), 'Yeshuwa`' (3442). Strong’s 3467 yasha` yaw-shah‘ a primitive root; properly, to be open, wide or free, i.e. (by implication) to be safe; causatively, to free or succor:--X at all, avenging, defend, deliver(-er), help, preserve, rescue, be safe, bring (having) salvation, save(-iour), get victory.

  7. So in the Son’s name we have the Father’s name 'Yhovah' and the Hebrew word for salvation yasha` or 'Yhovah- yasha` which becomes Yhowshuwa` which was translated in Greek as Iesous which was then translated into English as Jesus. Sence yasha` is where we get the word yshuw`ah which was translated as Salvation in Isaiah 62:1 we can see the Messiah again as the Lamp in Genesis 15:17 Exodus 24:20 Behold, I am about to send an angel before you, to guard you in the way, and to bring you to the place which I have prepared. 21 Be on guard before Him, and listen to His voice. Do not be rebellious against Him, for He will not forgive your transgressions; for My name is in Him.

  8. So salvation and the Son of God are the same as the Lamp. This means the Father and the son passed through the animal pieces to make the covenant with Abraham. Just for thought I add this verse. John 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham ? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I am In the verse Genesis 15:18 the word “made” is Strong’s number 3772 Strong’s 3772 karath kaw-rath‘ a primitive root; to cut (off, down or asunder); by implication, to destroy or consume; specifically, to covenant (i.e. make an alliance or bargain, originally by cutting flesh and passing between the pieces):--be chewed, be con-(feder-)ate, covenant, cut (down, off), destroy, fail, feller, be freed, hew (down), make a league ((covenant)), X lose, perish, X utterly, X want. We see the word means to cut as in verses 9 and 10 of the same chapter Genesis 15. Genesis 15:9 And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. 10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not. Abraham cut the animals into half and laid them out but he did not pass thru them. The smoking furnace (Yahway) and the lamp (Yahushua) passed through. So this covenant was not conditional on anything Abraham did it was unconditional with the Father and the Son. When the Father and the Son make a covenant that covenant it is forever.

  9. Psalms 132:17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed. How about the lamp coming from the line of David. Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an explicit sign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. Ruth 4:22 And Obed brings forth Jesse, and Jesse brings forth David. Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 9:27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, You son of David, have mercy on us. Romans 15:12 And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. So we can see the Messiah’s lineage from Jesse through David and to Joseph he is a son of the house of David.

  10. Now let us look at other passages in scripture which have a bearing on our study. Exodus 33:20 And he said, You can not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. I John 4:12 No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. 1 Timothy 6 :14-16 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall show who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen nor can see to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. If no one has or can see the Father then we need to explain this. Exodus 33: 11 And the LORD spakeunto Moses face to face, as a man speakethunto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. Numbers 12:8 I speak to him mouth to mouth, and by an appearance, and not in riddles; and he looks upon the form of YAHWEH. So why have you not been afraid to speak against My servant, against Moses? Deuteronomy 34:10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, Could it be that Moses was talking to the Son, Word, Lamp, Light , Salvation ,in the tent of meeting. Could it be that the Son, Word, Lamp, Light , Salvation ,was who spoke the Torah to Moses. If this is so then we may need to revisit some verses in the NT.

  11. If the Messiah as the Son, Word, Lamp, Light , Salvation ,was the one talking to Moses as he gave all of the Torah to the people then we should accept these verses to mean the Torah as given to Moses. Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments. John 14:15 If all of you love me, keep my commandments. John 14:21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 15:10 If all of you keep my commandments, all of you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. I John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. I John 2:4 He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Revelation of John 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Did the Messiah ever say anything about doing away with the Commandments ? Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. If you fulfill the requirements of an instruction does that mean the instruction is done away with for the next person who may need instruction ?

  12. I feel that it is clear. Yahushua is the Lamp that passes thru the animal pieces with his Father the Smoking Furnace to make covenant with Abraham. He was also the presence speaking face to face with Moses and giving the Torah, which is a covenant, to his people at Mt. Sinai. And Yahushua confirms this covenant with all people by shedding his own blood for the covenant with us. • Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. • Mark 14:24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many. • Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you. • I Corinthians 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do all of you, as often as all of you drink it, in remembrance of me. • Hebrews 10:29 Of how much greater punishment, suppose all of you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? • Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel. • Some may see the word testament in the gospel verses. That word is Strong’s number 1242 • Strong’s 1242 Diaqhkhdiathekedee-ath-ay'-kayfrom diatiqemai - diatithemai 1303; properly, a disposition, i.e. (specially) a contract (especially a devisory will):--covenant, testament. • It means covenant as well.

  13. Now in Matthew 26:28 the covenant is called “new” as it is in the other NT verses but is it new as in never before or new as in renewed. Lets look at some verses that may help answer this question. Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he says, Behold, the days come, says the Lord, when I will make a new2537covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: New Strong’s # 2537 kainoV kainos kahee-nos' of uncertain affinity; new (especially in freshness; while neoV - neos 3501 is properly so with respect to age:--new. Strong’s # 3501 neoV neos neh'-os including the comparative neoteros neh-o'-ter-os; a primary word; "new", i.e. (of persons) youthful, or (of things) fresh; figuratively, regenerate:--new, young. This verse is a direct quote from Jeremiah 31:31 so lets see about new in that verse Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: New Strong’s # 2319 chadash khaw-dawsh' from 'chadash' (2318); new:--fresh, new thing. Strong’s # 2318 chadash khaw-dash' a primitive root; to be new; causatively, to rebuild:--renew, repair. In Jeremiah the word new is chadash in Hebrew ,which going back to the root ,means to renew or repair. So the quote in Hebrews should also mean renew or repaired. So since the same word was used in Matthew 26:28 maybe in would be better translated as “For this is my blood of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” This would make sense if Yahushua was the one making covenant with Abraham in the first place with his Father. This also makes sense because humans had broken the original covenant by not being faithful to the terms of the Mt. Sinai covenant which was to keep the Commandments.

  14. Let us look at the word translated as renew in the NT. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing342 of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. renewing Strong’s # 342 anakainwsiV anakainosis an-ak-ah'-ee-no-sis from anakainow - anakainoo 341; renovation:--renewing. Strong’s # 341 anakainow anakainoo an-ak-ahee-no'-o from ana - ana 303 and a derivative of kainoV - kainos 2537; to renovate:--renew. Strong’s # 2537 kainoV kainos kahee-nos' of uncertain affinity; new (especially in freshness; while neoV - neos 3501 is properly so with respect to age:--new. Strong’s # 3501 neoV neos neh'-os including the comparative neoteros neh-o'-ter-os; a primary word; "new", i.e. (of persons) youthful, or (of things) fresh; figuratively, regenerate:--new, young. So the root of this word links back to the same word translated as new in Matthew 26:28 . The link is interesting and could have been translated differently when going from the Hebrew language to the Greek language which was how we got a lot of the NT books.

  15. By the way the covenant with Abraham was always intended to be for all nations and people. Genesis 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. Genesis 17:5 Neither shall your name any more be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made you. Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? Genesis 22:18 And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice. Deuteronomy 4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. Psalms 67:2 That your way may be known upon earth, your saving health (Exodus 15:26)among all nations. Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house (the Temple in Jerusalem) shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. (Rev 21:10-24) Jeremiah 4:2 And you shall swear, The LORD lives, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. Zechariah2:11 And many nations shall be joined to YAHWEH in that day, and they shall be My people. And I will dwell among you; and you shall know that YAHWEH of Hosts has sent Me to you. (Jer 24:7, Mic 4:2) Matthew 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Mark 11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house (the Temple in Jerusalem) shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but all of you have made it a den of thieves. Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the good news unto Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed.  Ephesians 2: 11 Because of this, remember that you, the nations, were then in the flesh from the beginning and you were called Uncircumcision, differing from those called Circumcision, which is the work of the hands in the flesh. 12 that at that time you were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers of the covenants of promise, having no hope and without Yahuah in the world. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. 19 So, then, you are no longer strangers and family members living abroad, but you are natives of the same family of the saints and children of the family of Yahuah,

  16. Are there possibly other references to the Son in the scriptures that seem like they are talking about the Father. Genesis 18:1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground 14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. 17And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the Way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he has spoken of him. If Abraham saw The Lord it must have been Yahushua due to the facts we learned earlier. Genesis 32: 24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me. 27 And he said unto him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. 28And he said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with God and with men, and have prevailed. 29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray you, your name. And he said, Wherefore is it that you do ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. If Jacob saw God face to face, even wrestled with him it must have been Yahushua.

  17. Is there a difference between the Angel of God and an Angel of god? Angel Strong’s 4397 mal'ak mal-awk‘ from an unused root meaning to despatch as a deputy; a messenger; specifically, of God, i.e. an angel (also a prophet, priest or teacher):--ambassador, angel, king, messenger. Genesis 16:7 And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur. Genesis 16:9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands. Genesis 16:10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply your seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude. Genesis 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, you are with child and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael; because the LORD has heard your affliction. Exodus 3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. Judges 6:22 And when Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O LORD God! for because I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face.

  18. I Chronicles 21:15 And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now yours hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. Matthew 2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appears in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Luke 22:43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. Acts 11:13 And he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; II Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. It is not 100% certain but it seems frequently in the OT “the Angel” is speaking for Yahway. In the NT after Yahushua is concieved we mostly see “an Angel” used. This requires much more study but it has some interesting possibilities about the Messiah’s role in the OT.

  19. If you are not yet convinced that it is the Messiah speaking in the OT look at these verses. Isaiah 41:4 Who hath wrought and done [it], calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he. Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God. Isaiah 48:12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I [am] he; I [am] the first, I also [am] the last. Now look at these Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Revelation 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things says the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. How about this Genesis 32:29 And Jacob asked and said, Please reveal Your name. And He said, Why is it that you ask about My name? And He blessed him there. Judges 13:17 And Manoah said to the Messenger of YAHWEH, What is Your name? So when Your words come about, then we shall honor You. 18 And the Messenger of YAHWEH said to him, Why do you ask this about My name? Yea, it is Wonderful Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

  20. Now look at this. Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you. Then these, Matthew 22: 31 But as concerning the resurrection of the dead, have all of you not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Mark 14:61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 62 And Jesus said, I am: and all of you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 13:13 All of you call me Master and Lord: and all of you say well; for so I am. John 14:6 Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me. John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. John 18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. (Ever wonder why they were so shocked they stumbled and fell)

  21. What we have seen for sure is the Messiah is in the OT interacting with humans for his Father and with his Father. He was the one telling the Torah to Moses and meeting with him “face to face”, as the Father could not do, for Moses’ safety. Everyone who seriously wants to know the Messiah needs to study the OT to witness his actions on behalf of the Father towards his creation. John 10:30 I and my Father are one. John 14:9 Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how says you then, Show us the Father? Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures (OT) the things concerning himself. John 1:45 Philip finds Nathanael, and says unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. Lastly think on these verses: Isaiah 45:11 Thus said the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command you me. Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
