SuperSolar • £5 Million from EPSRC • Consortium led by Loughborough University with Universities of Bath, Liverpool, Oxford, Sheffield, Southampton, Cambridge, Imperial and the Energy Generation &Supply KTN • Research programme • Provision of a UK national cell efficiency measurement facility • Establishment of a UK network for PV research to include universities, industry and finance.

  3. New facility: Cell Efficiency Measurement Centre • Current testing methods for PV devices in the UK are not standardised and do not allow for technology inter-comparisons • A fast, accurate measurement system is needed – crucially, one which includes an evaluation of energy • Solar simulator equipment to deliver a nationally available test laboratory which is accredited to international standards • Open in 2014
