  12. Who Can Save? • No Matter how hard we try – • No matter how hard we work – • It is not Possible for us to Save Ourselves • Yet God can do what we cannot do. • God has chosen to Save through the flesh and blood of Jesus. • If we allow Him to God will Save us

  13. Jesus is the Saviour Acts 13:23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for theSaviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 2Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

  14. So …. “IF” Jesus is the Saviour “IF” Jesus went to Calvary’s Cross and died paying the price for our sins. “IF” we are saved by His grace, His Love, and His Mercy. “IF only through Him is SALVATION Possible. Is there anything the BIBLE teaches That You And I Need To Do To Be SAVED?

  15. We must stay saved all the way to heaven. Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

  16. We must strive to get in. … he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

  17. Jesus is the door. But it is our responsibility to enter in.

  18. If you want to be saved you need to know what Jesus taught and what the word of God says

  19. Jesus taught: Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; … The Apostle Peter wrote: 1Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.

  20. The keeper of the prison What must I do to Be Saved? When they Believed they were Baptized

  21. BAPTISM is included in being SAVED Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  22. The Apostle Peter preached to the gentiles: The angel sent them to Peter telling them, Peter was the one:

  23. While Peter yet spake these words, (ACTS 10:44) whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved (ACTS 11:14) the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. (ACTS 10:44) For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. … (ACTS 10:46)

  24. The Apostle Peter then shared his experience with the church … Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

  25. The Apostle Peter then shared his experience with the church … Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

  26. The Apostle Peter then shared his experience with the church … Acts 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

  27. The Apostle Peter then shared his experience with the church … Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

  28. Receiving the Holy Ghost is included in being SAVED Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  29. There is nothing that we can do that will get us good enough to acquire Salvation on our own without Jesus. We cannot save ourselves.

  30. Thank God for His Love, Mercy, and Grace.

  31. JESUS is the SAVIOUR Yet WE MUST ALSO DO OUR PART

  32. Just as we must endure to the end Just as we must run with patience Just as we must enter in at the door We must also be BAPTISED

  33. Just as we must endure to the end Just as we must run with patience Just as we must enter in at the door Just as we must be BAPTISED We must also receive THE HOLY GHOST

  34. Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

  35. Ephesians 2:8 For by (HIS) grace are ye savedthrough (YOUR)faith; (IN HIM AND IN HIS WORD) and that not of yourselves: (YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF) But still there are things you need to do (SAVED) - it is the gift of God:

  36. Ephesians 2:9 Not of (ANY OF OUR) works, lest any man should boast. We cannot do enough good works to save ourselves or earn our salvation. We have no bragging rights. Butdo not let anyone tell you that works for a child of God are not important

  37. WHEN JESUS SAVES US IT WILL SHOW IN OUR GOOD WORKS James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

  38. WHEN JESUS SAVES US IT WILL SHOW IN OUR GOOD WORKS (Hebrews 12:14) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 2Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

  39. (1 Corinthians 15:1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (1 Corinthians 15:2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

  40. Through Jesus we must be SAVED Understanding we can not SAVE ourselves We must believe in Him – He has done His part to save us Now we must obey – and do our part to be saved.

  41. How do we get saved? Do we just believe? Do we just say a prayer of repentance? or do we obey all the "SAVED" Scriptures?

  42. 1Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? If you are not yet saved – Jesus offers Salvation John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Now it is up to you to do your part
