A:Identification Process– New Entrants • Arrange ability testing of students • Confer with Principals and teachers of feeder National Schools. • Interview parents of incoming students. • Review results and information obtained with Deputy and pastoral care team. • Form withdrawal groups in core subjects. • Identify students in need of pastoral care. • Prioritise language and cultural needs.
B: Review Process • Formulate Master Sheets of written Christmas and Summer examinations. • Meet to Review results of exams: • Class teachers • Year Tutors • Learning Support Teachers • Guidance Counsellors • Principal and Deputies • Consultation with students
B: Review Process - Continued • Monitor Progress of: • Students • Focus on students with learning needs • Students already in pastoral care. • Identify students with new needs emerging since last review. • Refer students identified in need of care to appropriate pastoral care team. • Agree and record appropriate action
