  5. 1)1770-1792 Bonni periood (kujunemisaastad) • Esimesteks õpetajateks olid tema isa ja vanaisa • Tõeliseks õpetajaks peetakse C. G. Neefe’t • 1787. a. kohtus Viinis W.A.Mozart’iga • Kirjutas sel perioodil ~50 teost

  7. 2) 1792-1802 Viini I periood (varane looming) • Õpetajaks Haydn • Vokaalmuusikat õpetas Salieri • 1795. a. hakkas märkama oma kuulmisvaegust • Kirjutas 20 klaverisonaati, 3 klaverikontserti, 2 sümfooniat (üle 100 teose)

  9. 3) 1802-1812 Viini II periood (loomingu kõrgaeg) • Kõige väljapaistvama loomingu aeg • Kirjutas oratooriumi “Kristus Õlimäel” (1803) • Kirjutas oma 3. sümfoonia, mille pühendas Napoleonile • Kirjutas ooperi “Fidelio” (“Leonore”) • Sümfooniad nr.4; nr.5; nr.6; nr.7; nr.8 • Kohtus Goethe’ga (muusika tragöödiale “Egmont”)
