  1. Voluntary Sector and CCG Liaison

  2. Purpose • To build the relationship with the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) • To raise the profile of the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) with the new commissioners • To identify opportunities for partnership work • To support the VCS to engage in initiatives

  3. Objectives • to support the engagement between the VCS and the CCG • to develop initiatives that are relevant to CCG priorities • to support relevant VCS organisations to deliver the identified initiatives. • to raise the role and importance of the VCS in the delivery of Primary Care and wider health services, in Derby and the surrounding areas

  4. Why do this? • Because it’s all change - Planning systems have changed - Funding streams have changed - Responsibilities have changed - Relationships have changed • VCS need to respond

  5. At present • Strategic involvement - representation • Connections to JSNA - • Opportunities to discuss/raise issues • Inclusion in Health and Well Being Strategy and Derby Plan – very general

  6. Future • Involvement in the planning • Identifying VCS contribution • Demonstrate the impact • Improve patient outcomes • Improve patient experience

  7. How ? • One year post • Concentrate the effort - Selected GP practices - Focused work - Suppport for CCG priorities
