  1. Eyes of a Child What Do They See?

  2. They clearly see what is there! • They have no agenda • No preconceived ideas • Their minds are pure without motive • No target audience to convince • They are not looking for conflict • They are usually happy with any outcome

  3. A Child Listens To Our Words!

  4. Our Words Define Us! • Rom 16:20 • Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

  5. Our Words Can Be Empty! • Eph 5:6-7 • Let no one deceive you with empty words , for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.

  6. Flattering Words OftenConvince Us To Do Things! • 1 Thess 2:5-9 • For neither at any time did we use flattering words , as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness — God is witness. 6 Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ. 7 But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. 8 So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.

  7. Persuasive Words ofHuman Wisdom! • 1 Cor 2:4-5 • And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

  8. Consent Only to Wholesome Words! • 1 Tim 6:3-5 • If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words , even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words , from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

  9. A Child Can Be Deceived!

  10. Many People Will DeceiveOthers If They Can! • 2 Tim 3:12-15 • Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived . 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

  11. We Cannot Allow Anyone To Deceive Us! • Gal 6:7-10 • Do not be deceived , God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. • 1 Cor 15:33-34 • Do not be deceived :"Evil company corrupts good habits." 34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

  12. Children Are Forgiving !

  13. Children Seldom Know What A Grudge Is! • Eph 4:29-32 • Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

  14. Children Let It Go And Are Happy Just To Love! • Col 3:16 • Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

  15. Children Want To Please !

  16. Even A Child Knows They Need To Please God! • Gal 1:10 • For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. • 2 Tim 2:3-6 • No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.

  17. What Does A Child See When Looking At You! • An excellent example of a Godly person • Someone with great Christian principles • A genuine follower of Christ • Someone who is cautious of what they say • A person with character without deceit • Someone eager to forgive others • A person that tries to please God and others Are You That Person ?
