  2. Commend (v.) – to express approval of On her way to math class after lunch, Tallulah commended herself on the fact that she had made her first new friend so early into the school year.

  3. Haughtily (adv.) – in a way that shows too much pride in oneself and great scorn for others When Tallulah entered her Algebra class, she was once again looked at haughtily by many of the students who were already in class ahead of her.

  4. Intolerant (adj.) - unwilling to put up with; not accepting Tallulah tried not to let their intolerant attitudes bother her as she purposefully walked to her seat, but it was not easy.
