  1. Explore 1 Exciting New Brunswick Canada Travel Video New Brunswick Canada Travel One of those special places that open up a whole new area to explore is Lubek Maine. It’s an entryway to New Brunswick, Canada. Just a short hop over the international bridge and you are on an island. From there the New Brunswick Canada ferry system can take you places far away, and onto a special adventure. One of the great areas to visit is the lighthouses on Campobello and Deer islands. There are several others, and all you have to do is follow the road signs taking you to each place. You can take the ferries from place to place all the way from Lubel Maine into St George, and back into Maine again. You may see seals, and whales all along the ferry ride as you go. Watch the video above to see what the trip will look like and the landscape along the way.

  2. Requirements for Crossing the Bridge To Canada: Before entering Campobello Island, via the Roosevelt International Bridge (no toll) in Lubec, travellers must first go through Canadian Customs. A passport or its equivalent is required. Children travelling with others must have a permission note from parents. A few questions need to be answered before being allowed to proceed. Anything brought over is being imported into Canada. There are restrictions on importation of firearms, alcohol, tobacco and certain foods. Rabies certificate is required for dogs. For more information see the Canada Border Services Agency or call 1-506-752-1130. Returning to Lubec: Upon returning to Lubec, via the same bridge, (or via another port of entry such as the border crossing at St. Stephen’s, New Brunswick, Canada and Calais, Maine) travelers must go through U.S. Customs. A few questions need to be answered and before being allowed to enter or re-enter the U.S., your Passport or its equivalent and (if applicable) your U.S. Residency “Green Card” need to be shown, as well as birth certificates for children under 16. All items acquired outside the United States must be declared, including food, plants and animals. https://www.visitlubecmaine.com/about/bridge-to-campobello.php Based on the information above and from our own experience you can travel back and forth rather easily, and customs on each side were very helpful. Make your passport, and vehicle information readily available and up to date, and everything should be fine. Be honest and open about your vacation and adventure plans, and make sure to ask questions. The customs officers on each side know alot about the area, and can often be very helpful. If you come back through into Maine in St George we always love a good latte from Tim Hortons to hold us over until we settle into our hotel. Tim Hortons Inc., commonly nicknamed Tim’s, or Timmie’s is a Canadian multinational fast food restaurant chain. Based in Toronto, Tim Hortons serves coffee, doughnuts, and other fast food items. It is Canada’s largest quick-service restaurant chain, with 4,949 restaurants in 15 countries as of March 2, 2022. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Hortons

  3. So as you can see this is a major go-to place when travelling around the area. It’s open in the early morning hours and perfect for the on-the-go traveller. Once you arrive at your destination for the night make sure to grab a room quickly because sometimes they fill up fast. We like to keep camping gear at the ready just in case that’s all we can get. Sites are normally available on each island in New Brunswick Canada. See the site below for some ideas on camping around the province. 15 of the Best Parks to Go Camping in New Brunswick
