Implications for Practice • Plenty of practice followed by talk about process • Teach about process • Teach self monitor and reflect • Design ‘authentic’ writing tasks • Focus on syntax • Write for communication V. academic purposes. • Combine reading and writing. • Redefine creative as discovery • Using Writing conferences • Now read over the description of a process oriented writing task. • Then discuss with a partner whether you think it would be effective? What are its strengths and weaknesses?
