Image and Climate for Fundraising: · These vary based on region - Asian versus European perceptions, for example · Overall, Tech’s image is very positive in Latin America, unfocussed in Asia and not particularly strong in Europe · Georgia Tech should consider using languages other than English

  4. Summary Findings ii. Attractive Fundraising Objectives/Needs · Providing Scholarships for International Students · Internationalizing the Georgia Tech Program · Supporting the U.S. Experience of International Students · Developing Technical Programs in Construction and Architecture

  5. Summary Findings Fundraising Objectives/Needs ·Building International Relationships with Georgia Tech Centers (eg Manufacturing) · Building Executive Programs, for example in ‘New Technology’ and ‘Latin American Business’ · Creating Company Chairs in Relevant Disciplines and Fields.

Conclusions · Strong potential volunteer support exists alongside indications of individual wealth, particularly in Latin America · Tech should firm up its international image and role as one of the world’s leading technical universities · Georgia Tech should do more to assist its international and U.S. students prepare for careers that will become increasingly international in character · The long term potential for a leading technical university in international fundraising is good, and the next ten years will be critical to ensuring that Georgia Tech takes advantage of current opportunities.

  8. Recommendations · Create an International Advisory Board · Adopt a Start-up Goal of $10 million over four years · Build International Prospect Research capacity · Strengthen the Alumni Program Internationally
