This study presents a tomographic inversion analysis of local earthquakes to uncover the crustal structure of the northern Ethiopian Rift. The seismic strain is concentrated on fault systems aligned with volcanics along the rift axis. Basin subsidence and loading contribute to deformation on antithetic faults across flexed margins.
