  2. Survey project: • Title: Interesting and creative! • Title Page: Watch your APA! • Abstract: Start with something interesting! • Intro: Hourglass! APA! Start interesting!

  3. Survey project: • Method • Participants: You can use DVs to tell us about them. Don’t go overboard!  • Materials • Procedure • Scoring and Reliability: How are items scored (1-7)? What items were reversed? Why were they reversed? How did we test reliability? (Hint: Crohnbach’s alpha.) What did we find from that? What did we conclude about our items? What did we do next? (Created a mean score of all the 20 items.)

  4. Survey project: • Results • Descriptive Statistics: • DV: Mean, standard deviation, possible range vs. actual range of scores. Histogram and skew. • IVs: How many participants in each level of your IV? • Inferential Statistics: • What test did you use? • What is your p-value criterion? • Remind us of your hypothesis, report results. • Same for the second IV. • Conclude results.

  5. Survey project: • Discussion: Hourglass • What did you find? • Relate to other findings? • What do your results mean? • Limitations • Future direction • References • Tables: 2 tables, with the mean, SD, and ‘n’ for each of your IVs • Figures: Survey, one figure.
