  3. DIRECTORS & OFFICERS • $2 million cover • Covers Associations, Clubs & Referee branches • Cost per Club $45 • No change for the past three years

DIRECTORS & OFFICERS • Added benefits negotiated at no extra costs • Corporate employment practice cover • Definition of insured now includes members of GPT panels • Insured person definition: “ any natural person who was or now is or may here after become a director, secretary, executive officer, permanent, part-time, temporary or casual employee, member, volunteer, tribunal members, trustee or committee member.......

ACCIDENT SUPPORT SCHEME • Charge to players has not changed since 2004/2005 season. • Over 200,000 Accident Support leaflets distributed to your clubs each year • Improvements to scheme & ability to hold rates is a direct result of our decision to partially self insure. • Improvements to scheme; • Physio increased from $300 to $350 • Increased medical benefit from 75% to 85% • Increased lodgement period from 30 to 60 then to 90 days. • Increased loss of wages benefit from 75% to 85% or $200 • Increased funeral benefits from $2500 to $5000 • Increased Capital benefits from $10k to $20k for under 18 year olds • Increased Capital benefits from $50k to $100k for over 18 year olds

  8. TOP UP INSURANCE • This insurance is available to all members at a cost of $618 per each $100 of extra income. • Must be taken out on a per team basis. • Available through our brokers BJS

  9. NSW SPORTING INJURY • Capital benefit scheme • Available directly through NSW Sporting Injury Committee. • Current cost of $3.17 per adult & $0.77 cents per junior. • Website – www.sportinginjuries.nsw.gov.au

Average cost of claims Accident Support Scheme • Claim cost on average have continued to increase and with greater benefits, CPI impact & worsening conditions of our grounds you can expect the average claim to increase at an even quicker rate. • Average claim in 2005 $808 per player • Average claim in 2006 $746 per player • Average claim in 2007 $1099 per player • Average claim in 2008 $1367 per player • Year 2009 not yet finalized

Risk Management & administration • With the introduction of the self managed insurance scheme FNSW has been able to and at the request of our insurers, provide risk management policy directions and support to Associations. Michelle Hanley heads up this area and works closely with Association administrators. • The fund enables us to provide member protection services and resources. • FNSW has under the self managed scheme requires greater administrative involvement in claims and all areas of insurance. • FNSW answers over 1000 calls per annum from players and parents who require assistance with claims and understanding of the policy benefits
