  2. Do Now • Answer the following: • What does the saying “A picture is worth 1,000 words” mean? Do you think there is any truth to this statement?

  3. Directions • For Each Picture: • Write your initial reaction. How does this picture make you feel? • What do you see in this picture? Be specific! Look at the DETAILS! (Who is in it? What is happening?) • Where do you think this picture was taken? (Country? City? State? Restaurant? Church? etc...) Give as many details as you can. • When do you think this picture was taken. What was happening in the world at that time? • Why do you think the photographer took this picture? What do you think he or she was feeling?
