Leading The Nation Towards Electrical Safety

Nurture earth for a safer forthcoming

Any electrical appliance or installations devoid of safety provision can lead

to catastrophic effects. Earthing is to connect the specific parts of the

installation to the conducting part of the ground to safeguard people and

machinery from faults and lightening. There are protection devices to

accomplish grounding needs.

Conventional Earthing

Conventional earthing method uses a copper plate or GI plate buried at the

bottom of pit. Conventional earthing seeks frequent maintenance and early

replacement which is a terribly tedious process. This approach is subjected

to faster corrosion reducing the life span of earthing.

Maintenance free earthing

With time, comprehensive accomplishments JMV has managed to achieve

are manifold which have overcome the demerits of conventional earthing.

New age chemical earthing is reliable, effective and effortless solution.

Advanced Earthing Electrodes, i.e. copper bonded rods are engineered to

endure the most enviously corrosive environments. Talking of the nuts and

bolts of copper bonded rods, it is basically low carbon tensile steel rod with

minimal coating of 250 microns of pure Electrolytic copper. Copper coating

Installation procedure involves:

 Dig an earth pit of diameter of 100-200mm in ground.

 Rod of length 2-3m is vertically introduced at the center of the pit.

 Backfill compound/Earth Enhancement Compound is used to fill the

remaining space the rod in the pit.

 Slurry of Backfill/Earth Enhancement Compound is prepared and

poured in the pit. This is done to increase the conductivity of the

ground.

 Exothermic welding is then done for fixing low resistance permanent

joints in electrical conductor.

 Electrical installation is then grounded via strips.

 Lastly, pit cover is put so as to protect the whole earthing system.

The overall installation process is cost effective and not burdensome.

High tensile carbon steel core exhibit immense mechanical strength

and prevent wear and tear when driven. JMV’s copper bonded rods
