Activities for people outside the academic community Thanks to the funds obtained from the EU, our university is a center for raising advanced IT competenciesamong various groups including students, adults and people over 50 years of age. Intheyears2009-2019 we organised various kinds of support in the area of advanced digital skills for nearly 4,000 people. THE EFFECTIVE 50+project deserves particular recognition. The project finished on June 30th 2015. The substantive part of the module includes five thematic sub-modules grouped into teaching units, as well as curriculums and lesson plans. Both modules contain advanced issues concerning practical solutions to problems faced by employees who deal with data analysis. The training materials have been prepared so that the user could intuitively acquire their content and thus gain the required knowledge and skills. The oldest participant in the project (an auditor by profession) was 80 years old.
