Tesla Update • $75,000 Tesla Model S 70D: AWD, 240-Mile Range Is New Base Version • 0-to-60-mph 5.2 seconds • top speed 140 miles per hour • Model X SUV w/ gull wing doors spotted • Due around 3rd-4th Qtr 2015 • NJ and Maryland reversed bans on direct sales by Tesla. They display cars in Tesla Store and "gallery" facilities. Buyers then complete purchase of car online, much like buying consumer electronics from Apple.

  17. Membership – Motion on Dues • Rich Carroll • Treasury is healthy $19.2k • Membership is down • Motion by Rich Carroll to lower dues to $10 • Needs discussion among the group this month • Next month ----need a second and then vote

EAA Membership • Ron Freund - Chairman EAA, Current Events Publications • Immediately after release of WKtEC (Who Killed the Electric Car) In April 2006 EAA saw membership raise sharply to 2000 • Membership began tapering off in about 2009. By 2011 our fade was becoming apparent. • EAA rose from 1,100 to 1360 last year • new membership numbers up in past three months, which signifies our efforts to reach new eyeballs are paying off.
