  3. WHAT CAN YOUDO?

  4. “STAR SPANGLED KIDS” Educate Children and Youth on the History of the United States from the aspect of Patriotism, Americanism and the U.S. Constitution

  5. Create a Unit Citizenship Award • for Children and Youth who have learned the ideals of the U.S. Constitution. • Share a Constitutional Fact • each month in the Unit Newsletter, the Newspaper editorial and/or in Tweets.

  6. Schedule Auxiliary events • on dates that are important in the history of the United States and the U.S. Constitution to raise awareness of our founding documents. • September 17 is Constitution Day • (Citizenship Day). Host a party that revolves around the Constitution for children.

  7. PROTECT, CARE FOR and SUPPORT MILITARY CHILDREN & YOUTH

  8. Plan a Unit-hosted dinner, game night, community fair, etc. • Assemble OMK Hero Packs • Host a "Kids of Deployed are Heroes 2" (KDH2) program • Support Operation: Military Kids • Support Operation Give a Hug

  9. Support G.I. Josh • Purchase the book, • Klinger, a Story of • Honor and Hope • Team up with other • Community Groups

  10. PROTECT, CARE FOR and SUPPORT VETERANS’ CHILDREN & YOUTH

  11. Increase Community Support and Awareness • Host Events for Children of Veterans. • Work with your Post • Share Informationand Ideas

  12. PROTECT, CARE FOR and SUPPORT ALL CHILDREN & YOUTH in the COMMUNITY

  13. Purchase and distribute • Josh Dogs • Provide Safe Activities for the Community's Children and Youth • Host a Picnic, • Baseball game or • Activity Day

  14. Nominate a Child for the • Youth Hero Award • Recognize Youth who • Demonstrate a Heroic Act of • Physical Valor. • Nominate a Child for the • Good Deed Award • Recognize Youth who are • Great Examples of • Community Service in Action.

  17. WHEN IS CHILDREN AND YOUTH REPORTING DUE?

  18. MID-YEAR REPORTS Each District Chairman is REQUIRED to submit a Narrative Report by DECEMBER 1st to the Department Chairman. YEAR END REPORTS Each Unit Chairman is REQUIRED to submit a Year End Report by APRIL 15th to the District Chairman. Each District Chairman is REQUIRED to submit a Year End Report by MAY 1st to the Department Chairman.
