  1. Gloves for handling food are not just a fundamental item of hygienic equipment, but are governed by REGULATION 1935/2004/EC and REGULATION (EU) 10/2011), i.e. “Materials and articles intended to come into contact with food”. These must be produced according to good manufacturing practices in order to not pose a threat to health or lead to an unacceptable change in the composition of food or a deterioration in its organoleptic characteristics. All the figures in the food chain (producers/importers/distributors/end users) are legally required to verify and respect the demands of legislation regarding materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. In line with legal requirements, Reflexx carries out specific and global migration tests on its own disposable gloves factory, using chemical substances that simulate the behaviour of all food groups. In order to verify stability over time and provide the utmost guarantees for the safety of its clients, the gloves in the Reflexx Food Line are tested in European certified laboratories various times a year and are suitable for 30’ contact at 40 °C with all the most common foods:  Alcoholic beverages  Biscuits, bread and cakes  Chocolate, sugar and derivatives, sweets and honey  Fruit and vegetables  Dairy produce: milk, yoghurt and cheese  Fresh, refrigerated and smoked fish, crustaceans and molluscs. Fresh, refrigerated and smoked meats, hams and salami  Vinegar, non-filtered or cloudy drinks, coffee, tea, beer, soft drinks  Fats and oils: butter, lard, margarine, egg yolks and egg whites. Fried or roast foods, sandwiches  Sauces, spices and flavourings For even more transparent communication – and in order to navigate among the various models available – the back of the Reflexx dispenser carries a summary table of the tests the relative glove has passed. Regulations regarding materials and articles intended to come into contact with food require glove packaging to show the food pictogram, which in the case of gloves from the Reflexx Food Line can be found both on the side (alongside the food table) and on the back of the pack.
