Interventions to manage the precautionary suspensions • SAMDI training in employee discipline in line with the new DCS disciplinary Code and Procedure • Tool been developed for Regional and Area Commissioners, to monitor and manage suspensions in their jurisdictions( ER MIS) • It is recommended that the responsibility is captured on performance plans of managers (Circular by CDC Corporate Service dated 03/12/07 issued to Regions)

  14. Interventions to manage precautionary suspensions (continued) • Visits to Free State/Northern Cape Region, for a workshop with Area Coordinators and responsible staff in Dec. 2007. • Visits to all outstanding regions on going • Monitor suspensions in accordance with the provisions of ER MIS • Identifying and filling ER posts as critical posts.
