Hard Probes 2012

This paper explores the parton energy loss in cold nuclei and its implications on jet quenching in AA collisions. It discusses multiple scattering as a tool for hard probes and investigates the quark distribution in collinear factorized pQCD parton models. The study also examines higher twist contributions in multiple scattering and scaling violation through DGLAP evolution. Additionally, it analyzes annihilation-like processes, Compton-like processes, LPM interference, and medium-modified projectile PDFs. The effects of nuclear shadowing and energy loss in Drell-Yan processes and jet quenching in the hadronic phase of QGP are also discussed.
