  3. 3-3A Vocabulary Scientific Notation - a way of writing really big and really small numbers so they are easier to work with - there are 2 parts: The exponent tells you how to move the decimal. 3.4 x105 a decimal number smaller than 10, bigger than 1 multiplied by a power of base 10

  4. 3-3A How to Scientific Notation to Standard The exponent tells you how to move the decimal. 3.4 x105 positive = move right negative = move left Write the decimal and leave space 3.4 0 0 0 0 Move the decimal and fill in the zeros.
