This research by Mosleh Abu-Alhaj, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureswaran Ramadass and Dr. Omar Amer, focuses on improving bandwidth efficiency in Voice over IP (VoIP) communications. Key objectives include proposing an efficient audio streams multiplexing method that minimizes packet size and reduces overhead, thereby enhancing network QoS. The study aims to implement the method on MCS architecture and evaluate its feasibility through QoS measurements. Expected outcomes involve increased voice stream capacity per channel and reduced network traffic while maintaining quality standards.

Efficient Multiplexing Method for Voice Streams over Internet Researcher: Mosleh Abu-Alhaj Supervisors: Assoc. Prof. Dr Sureswaran Ramadass Dr Omar Amer
Field of Study What is VoIP? VOIP: The technology that use the Internet and Internet protocol (“IP”) to deliver voice communications. VoIP-QoS Bandwidth Efficiency • Compression. • Multiplexing. • Silence Suppression. There are many methods used to improve bandwidth utilization such as:
Objectives: To propose efficient audio streams multiplexing method in order to save network bandwidth, with consider the QoS of network. To implement the proposed method on MCS architecture in order to demonstrate the multiplexing method feasibility. To analysis and assessing the proposed multiplexing method, using QoS measurement, after implement it on MCS architecture and show the performance of the proposed method. Expected Outcomes
Expected Outcomes: Minimize number of headers that added to voice packet in order to decrease packet size which will reduce the consumed bandwidth and reduce overhead. Minimize number of packets sent through the network which improve network QoS through reduce traffic over network. Increase number of voice streams in each channel with considers the QoS.
