  2. WebQuest Topic The topic for our WebQuest Project is: “INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY INTO THE CLASSROOM”

Introduction Our WebQuest: • Introduces teachers and educators to a range of available instructional technologies • Encourages active participation and design and development of tools to integrate technology in the classrooms • WebQuest URL: http://questgarden.com/57/50/7/071109083003/ “Integrating Technology into the Classroom”

  4. Purpose • To identify six national education technology standards for students (NETS-S) • To develop higher order thinking in technology integration into classroom instruction • To assist educators in influencing expectations for students and create targets of excellence in technology and instruction • To encourage the complete and consistent implementation of technology into the curriculum design

  5. Goals Educators will: • Utilize elements of this WebQuest in classroom instruction • Integrate technology to differentiate their instruction and vary delivery methods of lessons • Comfortably maneuver through the WebQuest and accomplish stated requirements • Introduce, through collaborative planning, elements of this site to colleagues in professional development settings

  6. WebQuest Activities • Select three of the six NETS-S standards and write three summary paragraphs on how to integrate and accomplish technological strategies in classrooms • Complete one practical exercise • Complete one lesson plan in a recommended format • Collaborate findings with other professional educators

WebQuest Design Our WebQuest: • Utilizes several curriculum designs • Critical and Creative Thinking Designs • Problem Solving Designs • Interdisciplinary Designs • Conceptual Designs • Contains numerous applicable technology- oriented websites and multimedia links • Contains several text documents for reference
