Come Thou Fount OfEvery Blessing Robert Robinson
Come, Thou fount of every blessing Tune our hearts to sing Thy grace Streams of mercy, never ceasing Call for songs of loudest praise • Teach me some melodious sonnet • Sung by flaming tongues above • Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it • Mount of Thy redeeming love
Oh, to grace how great a debtor Daily I'm constrained to be! Let Thy grace, Lord, like a fetter Bind my wandering heart to Thee • Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it • Prone to leave the God I love • Here's my heart, Lord, take and seal it • Seal it for Thy courts above
Here I raise my Ebenezer Here by Thy great help I’ve come And I know Thy hand will bring me Safely to arrive at home • Jesus sought me when a stranger • Wandering from the fold of God • He to rescue me from danger • Interposed His precious blood
O that day when freed from sinning We shall see Thy lovely face Clothed then in blood washed linen How we’ll sing Thy sovereign grace • Come, O Lord, no longer tarry • Take our ransomed souls away • Send Your angels us to carry • To Your realms of endless day
Send Your angels us to carry • To Your realms of endless day
All Glory To God Words by Charles Wesley
All glory to God, and peace upon earth • Be published abroad at Jesus’ birth • The forfeited favor of heaven we find • Restored in the Savior and friend of mankind
Our newly born King, by faith we have seen • And joyfully sing His goodness to men • That all men may wonder at what we impart • And thankfully ponder His love in their hearts
What moved the Most High so greatly to stoop • He comes from the sky, our souls to lift up • That sinners forgiven might sinless return • To God and to heaven; their Maker is born!
Then let us behold Messias, the Lord • By prophets foretold, by angels adored • To every believer His favor restore • And praise Him forever, when time is no more
God the Creator – Part 5 • “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. . . . God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.” (Gen 1:1, 31) • The doctrine of creation has a significant impact on how we view life and the world. • First, everything that is, has value. Even though it is not God, it has been made by Him. He made it because he was pleased to do so, and it was good in his sight.
God the Creator • Each part has its place. God loves all of his creation, not just certain parts of it. Thus we should have concern for all of it, to preserve and guard and develop what God has made.
God the Creator • While God intended us to use the creation for our own needs, we are also to have dominion over it – to govern it for its good. • Christians should therefore be involved in ecological concerns. Efforts must be taken to protect the welfare of God’s creation.
God the Creator • Second, we should realize that God’s creative activity includes not only the initial act of creation, but also his later indirect workings. • Creation does not preclude development within the world; it includes it. Thus, God’s plan involves and utilizes the best of human skill and knowledge in the genetic refinement of the creation. Yet, of course, we must be mindful that the materials and truths we employ in those endeavors all come from God.
God the Creator • Third, There is justification for scientifically investigating creation. Science assumes that there is within creation some sort of order or pattern that it can discover. If the universe were random, no real understanding about it would be possible. • By affirming that everything has been made in accordance with a logical pattern, the doctrine of creation substantiates science’s assumption.
God the Creator • Finally, we must note that nothing other than God is self-sufficient or eternal. Everything derives its existence from Him. Everything exists for His sake, not He for its sake. • Although we will highly respect his creation, since it has been made by him, we must always maintain a clear distinction between God and it.
Give Thanks to the Lord For He is Good His Love Endures Forever
Seek ye first the kingdom of God • And his righteousness • And all these things shall be added • unto you • Allelu – alleluia
Ask and it shall be given unto you • Seek and ye shall find • Knock and it shall be opened up to you • Allelu – alleluia
Man shall not live by bread alone • But by every word • That proceeds from the mouth of God • Allelu – alleluia • Allelu – alleluia
Stricken, smitten, and afflicted • See Him dying on the tree! • 'Tis the Christ by man rejected • Yes, my soul, ‘tis He, ‘tis He!
'Tis the long expected prophet • David’s Son, yet David’s Lord • By His Son God now has spoken • 'Tis the true and faithful Word
Tell me, ye who hear Him groaning • Was there ever grief like His? • Friends through fear His cause disowning • Foes insulting His distress
Many hands were raised to wound Him • None would interpose to save • But the deepest stroke that pierced Him • Was the stroke that Justice gave
Ye who think of sin but lightly • Nor suppose the evil great • Here may view its nature rightly • Here its guilt may estimate
Mark the Sacrifice appointed! • See Who bears the awful load! • 'Tis the Word, the Lord’s Anointed • Son of Man, and Son of God
Here we have a firm foundation • Here the refuge of the lost • Christ the Rock of our salvation • Christ the Name of which we boast
Lamb of God for sinners wounded! • Sacrifice to cancel guilt! • None shall ever be confounded • Who on Him their hope have built
Your Kindness Kay Chance
Waiting for angry words to sear my soul • Knowing I don’t deserve another chance • Suddenly, the kindest words I’ve ever heard • Come flooding through my heart
It’s Your kindness that leads us • To repentance, O Lord • Knowing that You love us • No matter what we do • Makes us want to love You
It’s Your kindness that leads us • To repentance, O Lord • Knowing that You love us • No matter what we do • Makes us want to love You too
No excuse, no one to blame, no where to hide • The eyes of God have found my failures found • my pain • He understands my weaknesses and knows • my shame • But His heart never leaves me
It’s Your kindness that leads us • To repentance, O Lord • Knowing that You love us • No matter what we do • Makes us want to love You
It’s Your kindness that leads us • To repentance, O Lord • Knowing that You love us • No matter what we do • Makes us want to love You too
Being of Beings Words by Charles Wesley Please be seated
Being of beings • King over all in love • To Thee our thoughts we raise • Thy all-sustaining pow’r we prove • And gladly sing Thy praise!
Thine, wholly Thine, Lord • We always want to be • Our sacrifice receive • Made, and preserved, and saved by Thee • Ourselves, in thanks, we give
For this we ask Thee • Open our hearts and then • Help us to mind Thy will • Turn and revive us, Lord, again • With all Thy fullness fill
Come, Holy Spirit • Show us the Savior’s love • Shed in our hearts abroad • So shall we ever live, and move • And be, with Christ, in God
