  1. THINGS THAT YOU CAN’T PUT INTO DUMPSTER BIN RENTAL

  2. 01 02 INTRODUCTION REASONS 03 ANALYSIS

  3. INTRODUCTION There are many reasons why someone may want to order abin, including needing a large bin in order to declutter a storage space, or needing a dumpster bin for a home remodeling project. Regardless of the reason, there are actually several different items that you should not throw into your rental bin, as it may be illegal to do so.

  4. Here, we will discuss five items that you cannot (or should not) put in your dumpster bin for either legal or safety reasons->

  5. 01 SOLVENTS & PAINT PRODUCTS

  6. Many people usually have a few cans of paint that have been left in their attic, cellar, or garage for several years. Leftover pain products actually contain oils, chemicals, and other harmful and noxious liquids that can be very dangerous in large quantities. In fact, they will contaminate local water sources if they are not disposed of properly. So you should avoid throwing them into your dumpster bin the next time you decide to clean out a storage area in your home.

  7. 02 VEHICULAR FLUIDS

  8. Unfortunately, paints and solvents are not the only things that you should avoid throwing into a bin. Other harmful materials include transmission fluid, engine coolant, and vehicular oil. The aforementioned automotive fluids actually serve as dangerous biohazardous materials. So you should take the time to carefully dispose of them in a safe, legal, and ethical manner in order to avoid contamination.

  9. 03 PESTICIDE PRODUCTS

  10. Now, you may be wondering why you should not throw your pesticide sprays and cans into your rental bin. The primary issue isn’t the actual product itself, but the concentration of the chemicals in said product. That is, while pesticides can be sprayed on lawns and other fauna in small quantities with little to no problem. They can create havoc on the local wildlife in your city when left to accumulate in landfills in large quantities.

  11. 04 E-WASTE

  12. E-waste refers to electronic waste, and should be disposed of properly in order to avoid a bevy of environmental issues down the road. In fact, e-waste has become such a significant issue in many countries that the dumping of many electronic products has been banned. As such, if you decide to dump your defective or obsolete electronics into your rental dumpster, then you may end up having to pay exorbitant fines. Otherwise your dumpster rental company will charge you significantly more than the original price.

  13. 05 APPLIANCES, MATTRESSES & TIRES

  14. While you can, in theory, dump tires, appliances, and mattresses in your rental bin, your rental bin company will likely charge you more to do so. The actual amount will vary from company to company, but expect to pay at least $50 in most cases. In sum, you should be prudent in the handling of many materials, as they may be harmful to the environment, and may end up costing you more to dispose of.

  15. CONCLUSION You can put almost anything in your dumpster rental, but avoid dumping things that are hazardous to the environment and other people’s health. If you are unsure about the things that you can’t put into dumpster, you can always check with your dumpster rental company before proceeding.
