  12. What is stellent..? Stellent is the Oracle upgrade / replacement for AutoEDMS, the R: drive Document Management System, and the R: drive Engineering Fixture Drawing folder. It provides the user with the ability to search for and view documents based on multiple search criteria. Benefits… • BT2 Integration - The system will interface with the Oracle eBS – PIM module to determine a drawing number assigned to a part number using existing PIM attributes. If the search parameter is a part number, the system will return the drawing number associated with that single part number. If the search parameter is a CN number, it system will locate all part numbers effected by the CN and return all associated drawing numbers. • Increased productivity - Users should be able to store, share, and view engineering component, product manufacturing drawings, fixture & tool drawings /engineering specifications ,quality management documentation • Superior usability - Built-in support for end-users, workgroups, content experts, process owners, administrators and webmasters. Easily and quickly locate the correct document from a search screen • Optimized management - Unified architecture for securely managing documents, files, web content and digital assets. Provide a controlled means to make the documents available for sharing • Streamlined processes - Improve document storage and access processes • Hot-pluggable - Out-of-the-box support for Oracle and third party repositories, security systems, and enterprise applications • Reduce Risk - Control and manage large volumes of unstructured content in a single, authoritative repository, which will help legal discovery processes and reduce risk of data theft and loss. bt2 Business Transformation ProjectStellent - Engineering End User Training

  13. What is Oracle content server..? • Stellent is a Oracle's Universal Content management. It is an enterprise wide content management, revision and controlling system. • Stellent organizes the engineering drawings & documents on a central server by • maintaining information (metadata) about the documents • tracking the progress of the documents through revision and version control. • users would be able to upload (check in) documents based on their permission levels (through security groups and accounts) • before the document is released for everyone to view and download (check out), document goes through an approval hierarchy (workflow). bt2 Business Transformation ProjectStellent - Engineering End User Training

  14. Key Concepts & Terminology CN – Engineering Change Notice Component Drawings – These are drawings that cover all product components as well as profile, drilling, and machining details for these components. Fixture and Tooling Drawings – This is a group of drawings that include machinery mechanical and electrical drawings, assembly fixture and clamp drawings, and cutter tooling drawings. Process Drawings – These are drawings that show the correct process for assembling products. Quality Management Document – This is a group of documents that include test specifications, materials specifications, process documentation, and the associated forms. APC2 – Automated Product creator, a parts configurator tool to create drawings and BOM structures. bt2 Business Transformation ProjectStellent - Engineering End User Training
