  1. LESSON 3 OFFICER DEVELOPMENTAL SUPPORT FORM

  2. Purpose • Drives development and integrates it with performance • Builds a developmental plan based on tasks that target major performance objectives listed on the OER Support Form • Familiarizes the Rated Officer with Leader Attributes, Skills, & Actions

  3. Process • Rater provides rated officer with the rater and senior rater support forms and a blank DSF (DA 67-9-1a) • Junior officer drafts initial duty description and quantitative major performance objectives on the OER Support Form (DA Form 67-9-1) • Rated Officer becomes familiar with the Leadership Attributes/Skills/Actions listed on the DSF (DA Form 67-9-1a)

  4. Process • Rater conducts initial face to face counseling within 30 days after beginning of rated period • Approves Duty Description & Performance Objectives on Support Form • Issues a Blank DSF to Rated Officer • Senior Rater Approves/Validates • Quarterly counseling throughout rated period

  5. Process • At end of rating period junior officer uses DSF to finalize “significant contributions” on OER Support Form

  9. DEVELOPMENTAL SUPPORT FORM (DSF)- PART III PART III. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTION PLAN PART III - DEVELOPMENTAL ACTION PLAN. Development tasks that target major performance objectives on the DA Form 67-9-1. (See FM 22-100, PART THREE) INFLUENCING: Communicating, Decision Making, Motivating COMMUNICATING. Articulates written and oral ideas/concepts clearly and concisely. Message received equals message sent. Displays effective listening skills. (1) Provide an oral OPORD brief to CO/XO during FTX in April. DECISION MAKING. Reaches sound, logical decisions based on analysis/synthesis of information, and uses sound judgment to choose appropriate alternative(s). (7) Facilitate a discussion on the ethical decision making during June OPD. MOTIVATING. Inspires, motivates, and guides others towards mission accomplishment. Sets the example by being in excellent physical / mental condition and consistently displaying proper military bearing. Example OER Support Form (DA 67-9-1) Duty Description: Unit Maintenance Officer OER Support Form (DA 67-9-1) Performance Objectives: Maintain an Equipment Readiness Level of 95% by Enforcing PMCS Certification For E6 & Officer Developmental Support Form (DA 67-9-1a) Improving (Learning): Attend the MACOM’s Maintenance Supervisor’s Course by the End of the 1st Quarter and become ULLS-G Certified.
