  4. What happens to the water level when you place a block of wood in a pail of water?

  5. A boat with a rock on top of it is floating in an enclosed pool of water. Under that condition one marks the level of the water on the side of the pool. The rock is thrown overboard and sinks. What happens to the level of water on the side of the pool?
