  1. Summer’s Cool Camp June 3rd – 7th and June 10th – 14th 9-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3 p.m. or register for 2 classes and stay all day (lunch and recess from 11:30-12:30)

  2. You have the opportunity to register your child for up to four classes in the two week summer schedule. A class consists of one choice for one week, either a.m. or p.m., except for Hiking 101 and 102. Multiple classes will be offered in both the a.m. and p.m. each week. Hiking 101 and 102 are full day classes. The fee for these classes is $90 for the week. Each day there is a different drop-off and pick-up location. • 1 Class=$50 • 2 Classes=$90 • 3 Classes=$135 • 4 Classes=$180

  3. American Girl Doll Reading AdventureIncoming 2nd – 5th graders Students will enjoy learning about life in different time periods, making time period crafts, as well as, enhancing their reading skills. Your own American Girl doll is invited to join you and on Friday, we will celebrate with a tea party. Each session will focus on a different American Girl Historical Doll. Students will be exposed to pre-reading, during reading, and after reading skills in this class.

  4. Art Appreciation Incoming Kindergarteners -2nd graders This class will feature many famous artists. The students will learn the history, style and texture used by each artist. Each student gets to recreate his or her very own masterpiece using the featured artist.

  5. Lego Mania This class provides a time and place for fellowship between Lego-interest like-minded students, to encourage artistic and construction creativity through use of Lego materials. There will also be two physical educational breaks during this class. Incoming 2nd- 4th graders

  6. Do you love basketball? Do you want to learn some new moves? Or do you just want to improve your old ones? If you said “yes” to any of these questions, then this is the class for you. Come join us for a great game of hoops! Basketball FunIncoming 4th-8th graders

  7. Have you ever wondered what is was like to roam the Earth with dinosaurs? During this class, we will read about the life of dinosaurs and explore pre-historic life. We will discover the different types of dinosaurs and learn about Earth during this unique time period. We will also create our own dinosaur adventures! Dinosaur Adventures Incoming 2nd – 4th graders

  8. PE FunIncoming K-2nd graders This class will consist of fun, physical activity geared toward children ages 5-9. Students will focus on proper techniques for throwing, catching, and kicking. Come join us for some PE Fun!

  9. Fashion, Glamour, and Tea! This class is all about fashion, accessories, glamour, skin care, and role-playing. Girls will finish the week with a fashion show and know how to always make a sophisticated and fabulous first impression! Incoming 2nd - 4thgraders

  10. There has been a crime committed at ICD. Come help us find out who did it. Students will analyze the crime scene, collect evidence, learn fingerprinting, and solve the crime. CSI I at ICDIncoming 5th – 8th graders

  11. You solved the crime in CSI I. Now come and increase your CSI skills even more. A new crime has been committed and it is your turn to solve it. CSI II at ICD (Prerequisite – CSI I)Incoming 5th – 8th graders

Oceans Alive Come And “Sea” What’s Inside(Incoming 1st -4th graders) The children will enter an underwater adventure, exploring the location of the oceans, ocean life and what treasures we get from the ocean. We will have lots of age appropriate, exciting activities planned! Come ready for some deep sea fun!

  13. Mad Science Labs Incoming 3rd – 5th grade Do you want to make a geyser and make it explode? Do you want to use beakers, and test tubes? Do you want to use microscopes and balances? Join the Mad Science labs this summer.

  14. Space Camp Incoming 2nd – 4th Graders Have you ever wanted to walk on the moon? Discover the galaxy through songs, games and stories. Create art projects such as an alien mask, space collage, space ship, and shooting stars in a bottle. Join us for a Space Party and much more!!!

  15. Incoming Kindergarten – 2nd grade Science Fun Have fun creating and doing experiments using everyday household items. • Learn about: • Weather • Our senses • Oceans • And lots more! • Wear old clothes – it’s going to get messy!

  16. Into the Deep Ocean Exploration (Incoming 5th – 8th graders) • The ocean is just teeming with creatures, big and small.  Let's learn about life in and near the ocean, ocean exploration, and ocean motions. • Just a few of the topics to be discussed are coral reefs, submarines, SCUBA, and tsunamis. It's going to be FUN, so just dive right in!!!

  18. SURVIVOR: Missouri Style Hiking 101 Come with us and learn the basics about survival in the wilderness of Missouri. We will train with experts using hands on activities at a variety of local Missouri trails. We will cover tips, strategies, and tools used for hiking. We will have a variety of guests familiar with survival in the wild. We will learn, train, and experience Missouri. This is a full day course. Students need to have good walking shoes, a backpack, water bottles, and a sack lunch for each day. Parents will be responsible for getting the children to and from the park of the day. Carpooling is recommended. Hiking 102 Students in grades 4-8 are invited to hike Missouri with us. As we visit local Missouri parks, experts will train us on the essentials of hiking, survival in the outdoors, and the equipment needed for hiking. We will explore a local state or county park and picnic somewhere during our hike. We will learn, train, and experience Missouri. This is a full day course. Students need to have good hiking shoes, a backpack, water bottles, and a sack lunch for each day. Parents will be responsible for getting the children to and from the park of the day. Carpooling is recommended.

  19. Wildlife Safari Escape Discover the wonderful world of wild animals and their habitats through arts and crafts, games and exploration! Join us for a whirlwind tour around the world without leaving home. Incoming Kindergartener -2nd grade

  21. Incoming 3rd – 6th Graders Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate! *Learn about the history of chocolate! Where does chocolate come from? Who first discovered chocolate? How is chocolate used in different cultures? *Sample different types of chocolate-YUM! *Invent new chocolate candy names and create packaging and advertisements! *Write chocolate poetry! *Play chocolate games! *Discover chocolate science and math!

  23. Incoming 5th-8th graders Mummies, Mysteries, and More! The Egyptian civilization was one of the richest cultures of the ancient world. Join Science Explorers as you uncover this fascinating time in history as you learn about mummification and dig for artifacts. Have fun building and learning about pyramids and their mysterious curses. Come prepared to dig in and explore the past through archaeology.

  24. Lets get buggy. We will learn all about what kinds of insects there are, where they live, and even what they eat. Incoming 1st – 3rd Graders

  25. Wild World Safari Incoming 5th-8th graders Come on board the Wildlife Safari, and you will be amazed at how much fun nature can be! We will travel the world exploring the oceans, trees, plants, animals and their surroundings!

ART RAGEOUS • Girls 5th -8th • We will be creating art with our recycles! • For this class you will need to collect a few things before we begin • Each student will need the following: • 1 empty milk gallon • 4 empty bottles of water or soda (16 ounces) • 4 empty cereal boxes • A few magazines Paper beads – to make jewelry Cereal box basket

  28. Accessorize Your Summer Girls 6-8th grade We will crochet a scarf, make a bracelet and pillowcase. If there is time left we will learn to sew a simple stitch – learning to thread a needle. Bracelets from popsicle sticks Sewing Learn Basic Crochet stitches to make a scarf DESIGN pillowcase in Batik style
