  1. MARIST COLLEGE DANCE ENSEMBLE! Welcome to

What is MCDE? • Completely student run and choreographed • Must be in dance ensemble for at least one semester in order to choreograph • Over 200 members • Variety of styles and levels • Classes meet once a week for an hour per class • Classes run from Sunday to Thursday (5pm-11pm) • Aerobic and Dance Studio (both in McCann)

  3. Where And When Is The Dance Show? • Looking at the dates of November 17th and 18th • Rehearsal week is the week before the show, practice every night (one night off) • MANDATORY • Dress rehearsal the Friday night before the show

  4. Signing Up For Classes • Dances will be posted on our website by Thursday • Choose dances that you like AND that fit your schedule • Email your prospective choreographers on Friday at 7:00pm (hint: don’t use foxmail) • Choreographers must get back to you by Saturday 10:00pm • Email the choreographer again if you do not hear back from them • If you don’t get into any dances please email club account

  5. What to do if I can’t make a meeting or class… • You are allowed to miss ONE meeting • You do not have to tell us you are going to miss it or why • If the meeting is at 9:30 and • You have dance at 9:00pm come after • You have dance at 10:00pm come before • Missing dance class • You can miss 2 classes, then it is up to the choreographer whether or not to ask you to leave

  6. Receiving Club Emails • Email the club account • Danceensemble.club@marist.edu • Put MCDE FALL in the “Subject” • Trina will put you on the email list to receive club emails

  8. President • Oversee actions of entire club • Determine dates of activities • Liaison between members and Marist community Erin Graetzer

  9. Vice President • Priority Points • Attend meetings • 2 community service opportunities or committees • Puts together and approves music for show and works with MCTV • Helps with auditions and is the liaison between the choreographers and the executive board • Approves all costume decisions Dana Murano

  10. Secretary • Liaison between executive board and members • Sends emails and updates to members • Go to if not receiving emails Trina Cardamone

  11. Treasurer • Responsible for financial records of the club • In charge of allocations and budget • Handles all matters regarding club expenses Kara Sellix

  12. Show Committee Manager • Oversees all vendors at the show • Responsible for Show Committee (PRIORITY POINT OPPORTUNITY) • In charge of apparel and ticket sales Jaclyn Navarro

  13. Public Relations Manager • Publicizes the show both on campus and off campus • Creates flyers, tickets, programs and posters Alyssa Pallotti

  14. Community Service Manager • Researches and finds events for community service opportunities (PRIORITY POINT OPPORTUNITY) • Finds organizations for the 50/50 donation Meghan Mahony

  15. Community Service • Family Weekend Line Dancing! Saturday, September 29th 12:30pm-1:30pm Email Erin.Graetzer1@marist.edu to sign up First 15 people to sign up will be chosen Sign ups on Friday, September 14th 7pm • DANCEATHON! (in the works) Tentative date: October 20th Time: TBA Co-sponsored with Heart1 • Krieger after school program, Mondays from 3:15 - 4:15 • Up Til Dawn and the Hunger walk (In November) • We will announce more information as it’s decided

  16. Website Manger • Creates and maintains website and Facebook group • Continually updates websites with new information regarding club matters Kelsey O’Brien
