  3. Pathway 1: AQA English Language/Literature (Groups 1 and 2) Early Entry for AQA English Language:November examination; Speaking and Listening and Controlled Assessment. GCSE English Language grade to be awarded: January, 2014.Literature Examinations : June 2014

  4. Pathway 2: AQA English Language / Literature (Group 3) iGCSE First Language Examination: November 2013AQA English Language Examination: June, 2014AQA English Literature: Examinations June 2014.

  5. Rationale For iGCSE Students are given TWO chances to attain their TMG in English Language.Especially for borderline C/D students who may not get the grade in AQA English Language.For students who are not ready to take early entry AQA English Language.

  6. iGCSE: ' Taught at Eton and Accepted in the Highest places! 'Please note that iGCSEs are considered to be the equivalent to GCSEs...' Cambridge University.' We are happy to accept iGCSE English as an alternative to the AQA GCSE and would not discriminate against an applicant who has this qualification.'   9. Support Provided by the English Department: 1. Targeted teaching in class for the examinations.2. Controlled Assessment alternative pieces worked on (Mondays after school).3. Coursework preparation for iGCSE students.4. Revision sessions on a Thursday after school until Half-Term.5. Half-Term Revision sessions.

  10. Parental Assistance: Invest in some highlighters for your child.Encourage them to attend the revision sessions.Help them to prepare for Speaking and Listening presentations – particularly for iGCSE.Support them in November when the '...going gets tough!'
