  1. TodayI am going to talk about a book called “The Golden Statue Plot”

  2. Geronimo had been to the beach and fell asleep with his sunglasses on. This caused him to get a suntan apart from around his eyes. To hide his strange tan, he wore his sunglasses on all day long and so he had to keep the lights on all day long too. • The next day, the entire staff at his office wore the same sunglasses and all the lights were on. A few days later the crazy trend was all over the city and because so much electricity was being used, a blackout occurred. • This reminded him of a story that happened on CAT ISLAND

  3. When Catardon III, who was the king of the pirate cats, discovered that they did not have enough money to pay for their electricity bills, he turned the power off. • He asked his advisors and • scientists who worked at Catlab to figure out a way to get some GOLD to pay for the bills. • Dr. Redfur came up with a solution! She showed a map of New Mouse City and she said that since the Mousey Liberty was yellow in colour, then it must be made of GOLD! All they had to do was to steal it.

  4. Catardone’s twins, Scout and Kitty together with Oscar (Catardone’s brother and the pirate publisher of the most famous newspaper on Cat Island) heard the plan. They were worried because the ocean floor will be damaged with the dragging of the statue and sea animals will be hurt! They decided to reveal the pirate cat’s plan to Geronimo by using a carrier pigeon. When Geronimo received the message from the pigeon, his nephew, Benjamin figured out a way to keep the cats away. The next day, the cats started to board the BLACK HURRICANE and Scout and Kitty secretly went on board too.

  5. Scout and Kitty managed to cut the ropes that were going to be used to drag the statue. However, Boots, one of the cats on board had brought extra rope. While grappling hooks with rope attached were shot so that the statue was wrapped in rope, Scout, Kitty and Oscar threw the cannon balls in the sea . When Catardone ordered to point the canons at the pedestal, everyone was surprised that instead of a terrible BOOM the canons only made a tiny PUFF sound. Catardone was very angry and asked everyone on board to think of a solution!

  6. As they were thinking what to do without cannon balls, a small voice called out from the top of Mousey Liberty. It was Geronimo Stilton!! He was with Benjamin and Bugsy. He told Catardone and his colleagues that he wanted to give them a warm welcome together with some friends of theirs… On board everyone starting thinking on who their friends might be, but before they could figure it out, an entire army of FLEAS headed toward the boat. They quickly cut the ropes and left to go back home. Geronimo using the megaphone told them that the statue was not gold but it was just yellow, like the colour of their favourite food ……cheese. Dr. Redfur used her anti-flea portable shower system to get rid of the fleas!

  7. As soon as the cats arrived back on Cat Island, Catardone got hit on the head with an umbrella by his mum because she needed electricity for the fur dryer. She pulled her son by the tail to her bicycle-powered generator and forced him to pedal late into the night. THE END On the other hand on Mouse Island, a party in honour of Geronimo took place.
